Degree in Biological Sciences, and PhD from the University of Seville, in the program "Integrated Production Systems in Agriculture and Livestock". During his doctoral thesis he developed a Physiological Model of Production of Autumn  Sugar Beet.

He began his research activity in sugar beet, carrying out studies on crop physiology, varieties, fertilization, irrigation, cultural activities, ... over more than 10 years. He also served as coordinator of the project "Plan for the competitiveness of sugar beet in Andalusia and Integrated production of sugar beet for autumn sowing" during the last 3 years.

He has participated in projects funded by the European Union, Junta de Andalucía and private entities, aimed at studying the improvement of the crop, the effect of different agronomic factors on the physiology of the plant, the effect of heat stress on production and quality industrial,…

In 2015, it created TechInCrop in response to the needs for the modernization of crops, based on sensors and IoT. It develops its own sensory systems and real-time monitoring of growth and climatic variables, based on growth models and with a clear vision of advice to technicians and farmers. It works in crops such as citrus, tomato, blueberries, hemp,…. In 2018 he was co-founder and director of R + D + I of Tecnología Avanzada de Cultivos TECHROP SL

Director of several Degree and Masters Thesis. Current tutors Degree Projects at the University of Nebrija. He has been a professor in the Area of ​​Plant Physiology of the Department of Plant Biology and Ecology of the University of Seville (3 years) and is currently a professor in the Area of ​​Plant Physiology in the Department of Physiology, Anatomy and Cell Biology of the Pablo de Olavide University of Seville.

All the experience acquired on field and laboratory tests, modeling, crop physiology, basic and applied research, sensory and applied technology, relationship with agricultural actors, has served him to develop his work at Phytoplant since 2021.
